Student Aeronautical Event Sweden

Västervik, 2026 May 20 – 21

An annual event organized by university aero teams from Chalmers, KTH and LTU in collaboration with Västervik Drone Science Park.

The purpose of the event is to strengthen the national network among universities, companies and the aerospace industry, while generating student interest.

Each university will showcase their aircraft, their achievements over the past year and their vision for the future of student aeronautics. The teams will participate in various competitions and projects, therefore each aircraft will be designed with different aspects in mind.

By inviting companies to the event, we hope to initiate a dialogue and establish a symbiotic relationship between the aero teams and the industry.

Lunch and fika are included with your registration. We are also offering a dinner at Slottholmen for those who sign up before the 5th of May, please keep in mind that dinner spots are limited.

Location and Directions

The event will be held at Västervik Airport (ESSW).

• By car: A 15 minute drive from the central station to ESSW. There are plenty of free parking spaces available.
• By bus: Take bus number 25 from “Västervik Station” towards “Gamlebygymnasiet.” Get off at “Mommehål”; from there, it is a 15 min walk to the airport. The total travel time is approximately 25 minutes.

Accommodations

If you don’t want to miss out on the fun during both days, you can stay at one of the following recommended accommodations:

• Västervik Rum och Stugor: Comfortable and affordable rooms and cabins. Conveniently situated close to the airport (15 min walk).
• Västervik Resort: Offers various cabin options by the coast. Located about 15 minutes from the airport by car.

Event Programme

The full event schedule will be released as we approach the date. Attendees can look forward to company and team presentations across both days, with flying scheduled as the weather allows. Guests are welcome to join for the full duration or attend a single day as their schedule allows.
